  1.  52:1  To the chief Musician, Maschil, [A Psalm] of David, when
  2. Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, David
  3. is come to the house of Ahimelech. Why boastest thou thyself in
  4. mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God [endureth]
  5. continually.
  6.  52:2  Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor,
  7. working deceitfully.
  8.  52:3  Thou lovest evil more than good; [and] lying rather than
  9. to speak righteousness. Selah.
  10.  52:4  Thou lovest all devouring words, O [thou] deceitful
  11. tongue.
  12.  52:5  God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take
  13. thee away, and pluck thee out of [thy] dwelling place, and root
  14. thee out of the land of the living. Selah.
  15.  52:6  The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh
  16. at him:
  17.  52:7  Lo, [this is] the man [that] made not God his strength;
  18. but trusted in the abundance of his riches, [and] strengthened
  19. himself in his wickedness.
  20.  52:8  But I [am] like a green olive tree in the house of God:
  21. I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.
  22.  52:9  I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done
  23. [it]: and I will wait on thy name; for [it is] good before thy
  24. saints.
